Social Media Expert

We require a full-time Social Media Manager for a busy publication company based in Christchurch New Zealand. We are after a self-motivated person to join our team of VA's creating content for our social media platforms and creating and starting campaigns to grow our following. Reporting to the Marketing Team Leader, and working within the digital team, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing content across our portfolio of social media channels. You’ll be working with Meta Ads Manager on a daily basis. Your experience and expertise in social media advertising will come naturally - including audience segmentation, algorithm optimization, ad execution, and reporting. You will have a technical background with the capability to analyze data and identify objectives that aid in the continuing success of the Academy Groups Companies. You will have outstanding creative and organizational skills, able to plan, write, design, and target engaging content. We’re a busy team, so it’s critical that you have the ability to juggle and prioritize workloads and deadlines. Short-form copywriting, design, and an eye for detail are a given as is the desire to work within a high-performing team. Social Media is 24/7 and so are you – with a natural curiosity to check in on the performance of our posts and ads, you’ll be a notification guru, confident to respond to comments, messages, and inquiries. Social Media Marketing is a critical growth driver, as such your ability to communicate insights from campaigns to inform the next is crucial. You’ll be all over the latest trends with experience in creating campaigns to drive sales and brand awareness. Successful Applicant: To be successful it is essential for you to have a proven track record in digital content production and digital social marketing, as well as: - 3 years + experience in a similar social media marketing role, an agency background would be ideal Marketing Degree - Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and social management platforms (Meta Ads Manager and Sprout Social or similar) - A positive attitude - self-driven and collaborative - Excellent written English (copywriting and communication) - An interest in photography or visual design is desired How to apply: If you believe this position is right for you, please send your CV to me on the email below.
