The Position

We are seeking a proactive Marketing & Social Media VA to help execute day-to-day marketing and social media tasks. In this role, you will repurpose content, schedule social media posts, send newsletters, and update content on our client’s websites. If you are highly organised, attentive, detail-oriented, and love getting things done, this role is perfect for you!

About the role

You will handle day-to-day marketing and social media tasks. The strategy comes from leadership, and you’ll bring it to life through efficient content repurposing, social posting, email campaigns, and light website updates. You’ll also provide occasional member and team support to ensure smooth operations.

The Details

• Job Location: Remote, work from home
• Company Location: Australia
• Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Work Hours (PH Time): 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (TBC)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Marketing Execution

• Repurpose short videos (2–5 mins) into blog posts and captions
• Create and schedule daily social media posts using templates
• Upload and optimise YouTube content (titles, tags, thumbnails)
• Conduct basic SEO research for blog and video content

Email Marketing & CRM Tasks

• Set up and send weekly newsletters via ActiveCampaign
• Assist in creating email sequences for campaigns and launches
• Organise contacts using tags and segmentation
• Troubleshoot simple formatting or delivery issues

General Admin & Team Support

• Step in when needed to help with support tickets or course updates.
• Manage inboxes and ensure timely responses
• Update workflows, checklists, and internal SOPs
• Upload or update course content in the Learning Management System
• Monitor member activity and flag any support issues
• Troubleshoot basic platform access issues

Software skills

Ideally (but not mandatory) you have experience with: 

• ActiveCampaign (or similar CRM system), WordPress, (or similar), YouTube, Google Docs.
• Canva, Buffer (or Later), Meta Business Suite, Google Drive, Slack, Zoom, ClickUp.

Nice to Haves: 

• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g. Ubersuggest, Keywords Everywhere)

We want to hear from you if you have…

• 4+ years working remotely as a digital marketing / social media assistant or VA directly for US, Australian, or European businesses. No BPOs. 
• Strong English writing skills for blog posts, captions, and email communication.
• Experience with ActiveCampaign (or similar CRM system), and WordPress  (or something similar).
• Experience with social media management, content creation, and scheduling across social platforms. 
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset to manage tasks and follow-ups.
• Confidence using digital tools and solving super basic tech issues.

You must also be someone that… 

• Is fully available during working hours, and highly responsive to client requests via slack. You also thrive with structure and clarity.
• Speaks up when issues arise and looks for solutions, (you don't just make it work, you make it better!)
• Communicates clearly and respectfully.
• Enjoys working independently, but within a team structure.
• Loves executing tasks and keeping things organised.

This role is NOT for you if you…

• Are looking for a highly strategic or creative marketing role (this is implementation-focused).
• Struggle with spelling, grammar, or following brand guidelines.
• Don’t have reliable internet or a quiet remote setup.
• Need significant training to use common digital tools.
