We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking individual to join our fast-growing Christian publishing business.

As a Devotional Book Writer, you’ll research, generate, and refine inspiring devotional content using our proven systems and AI tools like ChatGPT. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who’s hungry to grow, eager to learn, and ready to make a meaningful impact through their work.

You’ll receive full training in our unique AI-assisted method, but we do ask that you already have a basic understanding of how AI tools like ChatGPT work. If you’re confident with writing and editing, can think independently, and are excited about using AI to create powerful Christian resources - we want to hear from you!



Role Overview:

Position: Publishing Assistant & Devotional Writer (AI-Assisted)

Compensation: $6–8/hr starting, depending on experience. This is a long-term role with opportunities to grow in both hours and compensation.

Hours: 20 Part-time (flexible) with potential to increase to full-time depending on business growth.

Location: Remote

Start: Looking to begin onboarding in the next 1-2 weeks.



What You’ll Do:

1. Customer Research
- Follow our systems to conduct deep customer research on our target demographics
- Fully understand each target demographic’s needs and emotional triggers
- Ensure content deeply connects with the intended audience

2. Generate Devotional Content
- Use our frameworks and AI tools to create powerful outlines
- Masterfully use AI to generate high-quality, meaningful, and emotionally resonant content
- Maintain clarity, consistency, and biblical accuracy throughout

3. Edit & Refine
- Humanise AI drafts by refining structure, tone, and flow
- Eliminate robotic phrasing and repetition
- Ensure the final product is consistent throughout, reads naturally, and speaks to the heart


Growth Path:

If you’re organised, proactive, and excited by managing timelines and a team, you could grow into our Publishing Project Manager, responsible for:

- Coordinating designers, editors, formatters, and review team to take an idea to publication

- Overseeing timelines and ensuring smooth communication across the team

- Running the creative process for AI-generated art and workbook pages for select books

- Helping brainstorm compelling book titles & descriptions


Requirements:

- Excellent written English and strong editing skills

- A love for books - especially Christian or personal growth genres

- High attention to detail and a willingness to learn new tools

- Bonus: Familiarity with ChatGPT or other AI tools

- Bonus: Understanding of Christianity or devotional writing tone

Writing Task (Required)

Please complete the following task as part of your application:

Create 3 short devotions on the topic: “Fear & Anxiety”

Each one should include:

1) An emotionally resonant title to reflect a common struggle


2) A short bible verse (e.g, “You are a chosen people… God’s special possession.” - 1 Peter 2:9)


3) A devotional insight (120–200 words)


4) Journaling prompt (1-2 relating to the insight ^)


5) A short prayer (25-40 words)


Guidelines:

- Audience: Christian women aged 30–55

- Tone: Warm, emotionally grounded, clear - avoid complex theology or fluff.

- Voice - You can choose 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person but ensure it feels clear and resonates with your audience.

- Tools: Work with AI (ideally ChatGPT) to generate content. Refine the content so it reads like natural, human writing.

- Scripture: You may lightly adjust the scripture for readability, but do not rewrite the verse.
