Social Media Manager

We are a growing ecosystem of psychedelic-inspired brands rooted in healing, transformation, and conscious community. Our mission is to democratize transcendence and expand access to safe, intentional, and educated psychedelic exploration. You’ll be managing the online presence of five aligned yet distinct Instagram accounts (click on the names to see the accounts)

• The Flying Sage – A psychedelic community offering education, integration, and transformational events.
• The Flying Sage Victoria – Our first chapter in Victoria, BC
• Legacy Journeys – A retreat brand offering guided ceremonial experiences and private sessions.
• Your Psychedelic Guide – A talking head account focussed on psychedelic harm reduction
• SOMA – A new retail concept
   

Why This Role Exists

As our ecosystem grows, we are needing support with managing our marketing efforts which right now are mainly constrained to Instagram.

We are seeking someone to take over our social media strategy and execution.

This is more than a content scheduling job — we’re looking for someone who is excited to work in the psychedelic space, understands virality, can manage multiple accounts with a coherent voice and brand identity, and is proactive with strategy, storytelling, and community engagement.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Strategy
  • Create content calendars and posting schedules for all 5 accounts
  • Coordinate with the founder and creative team to source or produce graphics, video, and copy
  • Ensure each account has its own voice while aligning with the overarching values of the ecosystem
• Platform Management
  • Publish posts, stories, reels, and occasional lives across all accounts
  • Monitor performance and optimize content for engagement, reach, and conversion
• Community Engagement
  • Message new followers and invite them to our email lists
  • Respond to DMs and comments in a way that reflects each brand’s tone
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and amplification with aligned creators or communities
• Growth & Insights
  • Stay updated on algorithm changes and social trends
  • Track KPIs and generate weekly reports on engagement, growth, and insights
  • Recommend and experiment with growth strategies (giveaways, partnerships, reels, etc.)
• Cross-Team Coordination
  • Work closely with team members across marketing, events, content, and product launches
  • Help repurpose event footage, podcasts, or educational content for bite-sized social content
     

You’d Be a Great Fit If You...

• Have 2+ years of experience managing social media for brands or personal projects
• Are familiar with or passionate about the psychedelic movement and harm reduction practices
• Have excellent copywriting skills and a strong visual sense
• Can work independently and handle multiple brand voices
• Are aligned with values of intentionality, wellness, and personal development
• Bonus: Experience in video editing, design (Canva/Adobe), or analytics tools
   

Compensation & Structure

• This is a flexible, remote position that can be part-time or full-time depending on your capacity and skill set
• Competitive pay based on experience and location
