Long Form Story Video Editor

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Form Story Video Editor to join our team. As a vital member of our creative team, you will be responsible for editing compelling and emotionally resonant stories from interviews, transforming raw footage into engaging narratives that captivate audiences. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of storytelling techniques, impeccable editing skills, and a passion for visual storytelling.
Responsibilities:
Editing: Utilize your expertise in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) to craft polished and impactful long-form video content.
Storytelling: Work closely with our creative team to develop and refine storylines, ensuring that the final product effectively communicates the intended message and elicits an emotional response from viewers.
Interview Footage: Review and select interview clips, identifying the most compelling moments and weaving them together to create a cohesive narrative arc.
Visual Enhancement: Enhance the visual appeal of videos through color correction, audio mastering, and other post-production techniques, maintaining a consistent aesthetic throughout the project.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with producers, directors, and other team members to bring creative visions to life, while also incorporating feedback and revisions as needed.
Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that final videos meet our standards of excellence in terms of both technical quality and storytelling effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Passion for faith-based content and a commitment to creating media that makes a positive impact.
Experience: Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to craft compelling long-form stories from interview footage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and a solid understanding of video codecs, formats, and delivery platforms.
Storytelling Acumen: A keen understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and emotional resonance, with the ability to manipulate footage to evoke specific reactions from viewers.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations.
Creativity: A creative mindset and a willingness to experiment with different editing techniques and styles to achieve the desired effect.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and incorporate feedback from others.
Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Documentary Filmmaking: Previous experience editing documentary-style content, particularly stories derived from interviews, is highly desirable.
Understanding of Storytelling Principles: Familiarity with principles of storytelling, including character development, conflict resolution, and narrative tension, can greatly enhance your effectiveness as a long-form story video editor.
Passion for Social Impact: An interest in social issues and a desire to use storytelling as a tool for positive change can align well with our company's values and mission.
Home Office Requirements:
Internet Connection: Must be 25 mbps at the least, preferably wired connection with PLDT, Cable connection is fine if it's more than 5mbps. We DO NOT accept plug-ins, wi-fi or wimax.
Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a good working computer.
Headsets: The Contractor must have noise cancelling headsets, preferably Plantronics Blackwire C320M headsets. Assessment will be done during test calls.
Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
Webcam - for meeting purposes
Must be comfortable in working with Time Doctor/Screenshot Monitor
