Job Costing Analyst

About the Role

Treantly is seeking a detail-oriented Job Costing Analyst to join our remote finance team. As a Job Costing Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial data to ensure accurate budgeting and profitability of projects. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor job costs and project budgets to support financial decision-making.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather cost data and validate expenditures.
• Prepare detailed reports on cost variances, forecasts, and profitability for assigned projects.
• Maintain and update job costing systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist in the monthly closing process by reconciling project costs and reviewing accounting entries.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards related to project costing.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in job costing, project accounting, or a related finance role.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software tools.
• Detail-focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently using own equipment (laptop).
• Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time.
