Accountant

We are seeking 2 to 8 full-time, English-speaking qualified accountants with a strong background in eCommerce to join our growing remote team. About the Role
As a Virtual eCommerce Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records for a portfolio of online retail clients. You’ll work across various platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, and Walmart, and ensure that all transactions are properly captured and reconciled using A2X and cloud-based accounting software.

You will play a key role in delivering reliable financial reports, providing insights on business performance, and supporting clients with their month-end close, tax preparation, and compliance.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping for eCommerce businesses across multiple sales channels
• Manage A2X Accounting integrations and ensure accurate syncing between platforms and accounting systems (e.g., Xero or QuickBooks Online)
• Reconcile accounts including payment processors, bank accounts, and inventory-related transactions
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial reports such as profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Liaise directly with clients to answer questions, clarify transactions, and deliver financial insights
• Ensure tax and compliance requirements are met (e.g., sales tax/VAT filings, as applicable)
• Continuously improve internal accounting processes and documentation
   

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Fully qualified accountant (CPA, CA, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 1–2 years focused on eCommerce clients
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with A2X Accounting
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Google Workspace
• Comfortable working across multiple eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, etc.)
• High attention to detail, with strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Excellent written and spoken English communication
• Must be able to work full-time in a remote environment with a high degree of independence and accountability
