Role Overview

We need a highly skilled YouTube Shorts Editor who understands fast-paced, engaging editing for short-form content. You will work with raw footage and turn it into high-quality Shorts optimized for maximum engagement on YouTube.

This role requires experience with pacing, text animations, smooth cuts, sound effects, and dynamic storytelling. You’ll be provided with a sample video as a reference and raw footage, and your job is to replicate the style efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit 60–90 second YouTube Shorts from raw footage
• Follow a specific editing style & pacing (based on the provided sample)
• Apply engaging captions that enhance storytelling
• Use smooth transitions, motion graphics, and dynamic effects
• Sync video with appropriate background music & sound effects
• Ensure high-retention editing—fast, captivating, and optimized for social media
• Deliver export-ready files in vertical format (9:16)
   

Who You Are

• Experienced YouTube Shorts Editor—you have edited high-retention short-form videos before
• Proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
• Strong sense of pacing & storytelling—you know how to keep viewers hooked
• Skilled in text animation & motion graphics (for captions & highlights)
• Understands sound design—you can enhance videos with sound effects, background music, and voice emphasis
• Attention to detail—clean cuts, no awkward pauses, and smooth visuals
• Fast and efficient—you can deliver high-quality edits on time
