We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who can transform long-form videos into engaging short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You should know how to capture attention fast, tell a story in under 60 seconds, and optimize videos for social media performance.

Job Description

• Edit long-form videos into multiple short-form clips (15–60 seconds) optimized for social media
• Identify the most engaging moments (“hooks”) from long content
• Add captions, subtitles, emojis, and motion graphics to improve engagement
• Use jump cuts, zooms, sound effects, and pacing techniques to maintain viewer retention
• Format videos for vertical (9:16) viewing across platforms
• Follow trends and adapt editing style to match current viral content formats
• Collaborate with the team to align edits with brand voice and messaging
• Deliver high-quality videos on time with quick turnaround

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
• Strong storytelling and pacing skills for short videos
• Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar
• Experience adding captions and designing engaging on-screen text
• Understanding of social media trends and algorithms
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Nice to Have

• Experience repurposing podcasts, webinars, or interviews into short clips
• Basic motion graphics and animation skills
• Familiarity with AI editing tools or auto-captioning tools
• Knowledge of content strategy or viral content frameworks
