Role Overview

We are seeking passionate, results-driven tutors who can guide students (ages 10–17) to academic excellence. This role is not about busywork—it’s about coaching, motivating, and teaching in a way that inspires lasting growth. As a tutor with Ignite, you’ll work one-on-one with students to deliver tailored lessons, track progress, and equip them with the mindset and strategies of top scorers.

Responsibilities

Teach SAT/ACT, AP, and high school subjects with clarity, engagement, and adaptability.

Develop customized lesson plans based on each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals.

Motivate students by instilling academic confidence, discipline, and elite study habits.

Communicate progress updates and recommendations to families with professionalism.

Collaborate with Ignite mentors and staff to continually refine methods and share best practices.

Qualifications

Strong academic background (perfect or near-perfect grades, high standardized test scores (SAT/ACT, etc), AP experience, or equivalent achievements).

Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred, but exceptional communicators without formal experience will be considered.

Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, engaging ways.

Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to results.

Coachability and openness to feedback.
