Senior Web Developer (WordPress Expert)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress development, strong coding skills across multiple languages, and expertise in hosting and domain management. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.


Work Hours:
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Philippine Time)

Work From Home Setup Requirements:
- Must have stable internet and a backup internet connection
- Must have backup electricity (UPS or generator)
- Must be available for video call meetings


Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites with advanced functionality
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Python)
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues (bugs, performance, and security)
- Manage hosting environments including server configurations, backups, and optimization
- Handle domain and DNS management, including SSL certificate setup
- Collaborate with designers, content writers, and SEO specialists to ensure smooth project delivery
- Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
- Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends and tools
- Maintain technical documentation across projects
- Provide technical mentorship and support to team members


Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional web development experience, focused on WordPress
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and Python
- Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, including custom themes, plugins, and APIs
- Experience managing hosting accounts, cPanel/Plesk, and server environments (preferably NameHero)
- Advanced understanding of DNS management and SSL configuration
- Familiarity with the Enfold Theme and Advanced Layout Builder
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and security best practices

- Experience using Git and version control systems
- Comfort working with REST APIs and third-party integrations


Preferred:
- Experience managing hosting accounts, cPanel/Plesk, and server environments in NameHero
- Experience or familiarity with the Enfold Theme and Advanced Layout Builder
- Experience with WooCommerce or other eCommerce platforms
- Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines)
- Knowledge of MySQL or other database management tools
- Experience or familiarity with ClickUp
- Experience in a digital agency or fast-paced development environment
